Overnight Caregiver, Centereach, NY
Full-Time Caregiver – Night Shift (8 p.m. to 8 a.m.)

We are seeking energetic, dependable caregivers to join our CDPAP care team supporting an elderly female consumer with an active social lifestyle in the Centereach area. This role is not a sleep shift — the consumer enjoys going out in the evenings, attending social or recreational outings such as the movies, running errands, and staying active. The right candidate will have the energy and flexibility to support her on the go and ensure comfort and safety throughout the overnight hours.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and mobility support.

• Provide transportation to evening activities, appointments, and local outings —  driving in your own reliable vehicle is required.

• Assist in planning and organizing evening/overnight activities.

• Manage scheduling of evening appointments and follow-up visits, keeping a calendar updated.

• Stay alert and responsive to the consumer’s needs throughout the night (this is not a sleep shift).

• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities both at home and out.

• Follow the care plan provided by the consumer to ensure comfort, safety, and independence.

Requirements:

• 36–44 hours per week (three to four 12-hour overnight shifts).

• Reliable personal transportation — daily/evening driving required in your own vehicle.

• Must be comfortable around cats and able to perform light housekeeping.

• Active, self-starting personality — someone who enjoys staying busy and going out, not staying in.

• Minimum two professional or personal references (to be verified before hiring).

• Prior home care or related experience a plus, but not required.

Pay & Benefits:

• $19.50/hour

• Weekly gas reimbursement every Friday.

• Comped movie or event tickets when attending during work with consumer.

• Weekly pay every Thursday.

• HSA Flex Card – Earn $0.22 for every hour worked for non-taxable qualified expenses.

• Split Shift Bonus – $11 every time you clock out and return for another shift on the same day.

• Long Shift Bonus – Additional pay for shifts exceeding 10 hours.
