Daytime Caregiver, Centereach, NY
Full-Time Caregiver – Day Shift (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
We are seeking energetic, dependable caregivers to join our CDPAP care team supporting an elderly female consumer with an active social lifestyle in the [Town Name / Neighboring Town] area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, loves being out in the community, and takes pride in helping others live a full and vibrant life.
We are looking for go-getters who are excited to take the consumer to appointments, run errands, enjoy local outings, and participate in daily activities.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and mobility support.
Take the consumer to appointments and out in the community each day. Daily driving is required in your own reliable vehicle.
Assist in planning and organizing daily activities.
Manage and schedule the consumer’s appointments — including making calls to doctors, specialists, and other providers, booking follow-up visits, and keeping a calendar of upcoming appointments.
Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities both at home and out.
Follow the care plan provided by the consumer to ensure comfort, safety, and independence.
Requirements:
36–44 hours per week (three to four 12-hour shifts).
Reliable personal transportation — daily driving is required in your own vehicle.
Must be comfortable around cats and able to perform light housekeeping.
Active, self-starting personality — we want caregivers who enjoy staying busy and going out, not those who prefer to stay home.
Minimum two professional or personal references (to be verified before hiring).
Prior home care or related experience a plus, but not required.
Pay & Benefits:
$19.50/hour
Weekly gas reimbursement every Friday.
Weekly pay every Thursday.
HSA Flex Card – Earn $0.22 for every hour worked for non-taxable qualified expenses.

No Call-Out Bonus – Earn bonuses for perfect attendance within a 45-day period.
Split Shift Bonus – $11 every time you clock out and return for another shift on the same day.
Long Shift Bonus – Additional pay for shifts exceeding 10 hours.
